the truth in the dark

There was a man who wishes to vanquish the darkness in his heart. He spent his life finding the way to the battle and one day got there. Faced with the immense black space, he drew his sword and started brandishing. His sword cut through the emptiness effortlessly but left no mark. Convinced that he could finish what he had worked so hard for, the man kept on fighting. Days became years and years turned to decades. One day, when the last breath of strength had escaped him, the man collapsed, staring blankly at the vacuum above in defeat. Desperate, he held out his hand aimlessly. He felt something.

Another hand.

At that moment a ray of light shredded through the nothingness from above. The thin yellow line soon opened up to become a larger golden curtain. Through the blinding colour, he caught a glimpse of the owner of the hand. It was his wife whom he had left behind to train for the fight. At that moment he realized his mistake all along.

You can’t destroy the darkness inside your heart, for darkness doesn’t exist.

You can only fill in the void with light.

The light of love.
